WHAT IS IT?
The AVANCE Latino Street Fest is a FREE, family-friendly event, celebrating the vibrant Latino culture in North Texas. It is the largest event of its kind to showcase Latino talent in dancing and singing contests, live music, mariachi, delicious food and more.
Since its inception in 2014, the festival has continued to grow over the years and has now become a signature event in the Dallas area.
All the proceeds from the festival benefit AVANCE-North Texas, a non-profit organization that has provided education to at-risk Latino families in our community since 1996.

CONTESTS
Every year the AVANCE Latino Street Fest gives the opportunity to amateur contestants to showcase their talent in dancing and singing through the “Best High/Middle School Mariachi” and the “Día del Niño“ talent contests.
No fee is required to participate, but you must by August 11, 2023 before 5:00 pm. Día del Niño contestants can register at the event one hour before the contest begins.
*Día del Niño contestants can register an hour before the event tart of the contest at main stage if a time slot is available. After you register, you will receive an email to confirm participation time and other details of your performance. Please arrive 1 hr. before contest begins. Participants will perform in order of arrival.

Streets on the park’s perimeter and nearby streets offer metered parking. Some parking meter stations accept credit cards as well as cash.

Alternative Modes of Transportation
Trolley
The McKinney Avenue Trolley (MATA) makes frequest stops through out the day near Klyde Warren Park, at the corner of St. Paul and Woodall Rodgers (across from the Dallas Museum of Art) and their newest stop in front of the Southwest Porch at the corner of Olive and the westbound side of the Woodall Rodgers Freeway access road. DART
The two DART rail stops that are closest to the Park are the St. Paul station and the Arts District Pearl station, both within walking distance of the park. DART provides connectivity and park patron access through the extensive mass transit system and mobility that DART offers throughout the City of Dallas and the surrounding area.
